Meredith Hrebenak, Licensed Professional Counselor - Individual Mental Health Counseling Anywhere in Georgia and Florida via Online Telehealth Therapy
Telehealth counseling, also known as online therapy, virtual therapy, telemental health counseling, or distance counseling, is mental health counseling provided through secure video over the internet. Telehealth allows for increased convenience, flexibility, and accessibility, making it easier to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home or another private location.
If you schedule a telehealth appointment with me, appointments are conducted through Sessions Health, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform that supports both video and audio for online counseling sessions. No special software downloads are required, and the platform is easy to use on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Most insurance plans now cover telehealth counseling for mental health and behavioral health services. However, coverage varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm whether virtual therapy sessions are covered with me as your provider.
To participate in Telehealth Counseling, or online counseling, you will need:
A computer, tablet, or phone with a working camera and microphone
Reliable high-speed internet for video therapy sessions
A quiet and completely private space removed from family, friends, kids, and coworkers
MUST be in the state of Georgia during ALL sessions(or Florida, depending on your insurance), due to state licensing laws
Headphones are strongly recommended to enhance privacy, reduce sound interference, and support a focused, confidential virtual therapy experience
Telehealth may not be a good fit for everyone
*Some insurance plans only cover Telehealth with a third party platform, such as Teladoc, Live Health Online, or MDLive, which does not include my services.
